About us

The Rotary Club of Embakasi is a proud member of Rotary International — a global network of professionals and community leaders united in service, fellowship, and the pursuit of lasting change.
Founded to serve the vibrant Embakasi community and beyond, our club brings together passionate individuals who believe in the power of collective action. Through service, mentorship, and collaboration, we strive to make a positive difference in people’s lives — one project, one initiative, and one act of kindness at a time.

We meet regularly to share ideas, plan impactful projects, and strengthen our bonds as Rotarians dedicated to the motto: “Service Above Self.”

What we do

What We Do

At the Rotary Club of Embakasi, we focus on initiatives that create sustainable impact within our community and align with Rotary International’s seven areas of focus:

  • Supporting Education: Enhancing access to learning opportunities for children and young adults.

  • Promoting Peace: Fostering understanding and dialogue within our diverse communities.

  • Providing Clean Water and Sanitation: Supporting initiatives that improve access to safe water and hygiene.

  • Growing Local Economies: Empowering small businesses, youth, and women entrepreneurs.

  • Saving Mothers and Children: Supporting healthcare programs for families and vulnerable groups.

  • Fighting Disease: Promoting public health awareness and access to essential medical services.

  • Protecting the Environment: Advocating for green, sustainable practices and community clean-ups.

Through partnerships, volunteerism, and innovation, we work to transform ideas into real solutions that improve lives.

Projects

Our projects are at the heart of our mission to serve. The Rotary Club of Embakasi has initiated and supported several impactful community projects, including:

  • Medical Camps & Blood Drives: Providing free medical checkups and encouraging voluntary blood donation.

  • School Support Programs: Donating books, desks, and learning materials to underserved schools.

  • Tree Planting & Environmental Campaigns: Promoting a cleaner and greener Embakasi.

  • Youth Mentorship & Empowerment: Guiding young people to develop leadership and entrepreneurial skills.

  • Community Clean-up Drives: Working hand-in-hand with residents to create a healthier environment.

Each project reflects our commitment to service, compassion, and the belief that together, we can create meaningful, lasting change.

There is a lot that happens around the world we cannot control. We cannot stop earthquakes, we cannot prevent droughts, and we cannot prevent all conflict, but when we know where the hungry, the homeless and the sick exist, then we can help.
